Where to buy seeds? List of seed companies

One of the best places to buy seeds as of year 2014 is the University of Hawaii Agricultural Diagnostic Service Center - Seed Program. The cost of each Home Garden Packet (HGP) of seeds is $1 and the shipping is free: http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/seed/seeds.asp

Some places to buy seeds:

- During spring sales, look for promotions at Home Depot, Lowe's or Menards. In 2012, Menards offered 20 packets of seeds for $2.

- Dollar Tree has seed packets for 20 cents but they are smaller than regular packets.

- Burpee and other seeds companies run promotions during Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE, etc. Look got free shipping during those times and online coupons.

- Dollar Seed website was launched in 2009 and they do indeed offer many standard seed packets for $1 (plus shipping) http://www.dollarseed.com

- Amazon has many seed sellers, some of them offering packets for as little as 20 cents (plus shipping)
